From our community navigators and transport team to our Toni’s, administrators, office staff, and senior management, each person contributes to the heart of our work. Together, we uphold the proud tradition of serving with alofa, care, and respect.

Below, we introduce the members of our Piri’anga Alofa Senior Leads, who guide our operations and support our staff members, ensuring that our values of empathy, trust, and service to our people remain at the core of everything we do.

  • Lealamanu’a Aiga Caroline Mareko, MNZM

    COMMUNITY SERVICES LEAD

    Caroline is a well-known champion for Pacific peoples, and in 2020 received the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to Pacific Community and Education. She chairs several Pasifika focused boards and has held positions on councils, and organisations that promote education, health and well-being of the Pacific community.

    Caroline has a background in education, as a teacher in Porirua East for 18 years, and working at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education Review Office.

  • Amituana’i Danny Mareko

    ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

    Danny is a well-respected figure in the Pacific community and a passionate advocate for his people. As our Engagement Manager, he’s all about building strong, genuine connections between community organisations, Government agencies and our services.

    Danny works hard to make sure that the voices of families and children are heard and that their needs are met.

    NAVIGATOR TEAM LEAD

    Alice is our motivated and dedicated Community Services Team Leader based in Levin, known for her unwavering commitment to putting people first. With a strong passion for supporting her team and the community, working to strengthen connections and provide support where it's most needed.

  • Josh Saua

    LE FALE OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Josh is the Le Fale Jobs & Skills Hub Operations Manager. Josh brings a wealth of experience from his background in the army and the construction industry, where he developed strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to teamwork and growth.

  • Toafia Mao

    NETWORK LEAD

    Toafia or ‘Mos’ as he is affectionately known, is committed to ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and supported. He goes above and beyond to ensure their journey is a pleasant experience.

    His strong sense of responsibility and genuine care for the well-being of the children his team transports reflects the heart of our community at Piri’anga Alofa.

    Carly is our friendly and dedicated Team Lead for Etu Ao, playing a key role in supporting families and educators across our Pacific community.

    With a passion for inclusive learning and cultural connection, Carly brings both experience and heart to her work and the relationships she forms with others.
