Le Fale Jobs & Skills Hub
At Le Fale, we walk alongside our communities with heart, purpose, and care. Guided by our Pacific and Māori values, we believe that diversity, inclusion, and genuine relationships are the foundation of thriving workplaces, resilient families, and vibrant communities.
Our work is grounded in the realities of Porirua East, a community that is vibrant, diverse, and full of potential, yet faces socio-economic challenges. We recognise the strengths, aspirations, and collective spirit of the families we serve and design our services to meet people where they are—holistically, culturally, and practically.
Recruitment – People, Potential, Purpose
Our free recruitment services connect employers with the right people while supporting employees to thrive. Our Navigators walk alongside both employers and employees, providing:
Local staffing solutions tailored to business needs and community realities.
Pastoral care and wellbeing support to ensure people feel safe, valued, and empowered.
Ongoing post-placement support to promote smooth transitions and retention.
Holistic support recognising that when people are well at home, they thrive at work.
We believe work is not just a job—it’s part of strengthening whānau, fostering confidence, and building community wellbeing.
Our programmes are shaped by local voices, leaders, churches, and trusted partners, so they reflect what people really need. By teaming up with banks, housing providers, and community organisations, we help turn learning into practical changes that make everyday life better.
Change looks different for every whānau whether it’s stepping into home ownership, getting on top of debt, or starting a savings journey. Along the way, people build confidence with money and pick up tools that support their long-term wellbeing. Our services are grounded in culture, open to everyone, and focused on outcomes that help families and communities build a stronger, more secure future.
How we support you
At Le Fale, we help people grow, thrive, and achieve their aspirations by supporting individuals at all stages of their careers through free training and courses across key industries.
We believe that strong communities create strong workplaces, and our approach is guided by the values of Fealofani (working together) and Galue Felagolagomai (supporting one another). Central to our work is financial wellbeing, which we see as essential for thriving families and resilient communities.
Through our Financial Capability service, we go beyond budgeting to build confidence and stability, equip people with practical financial skills and knowledge, and create realistic pathways to home ownership, particularly for Pacific and Māori families, and other priority communities in Porirua.
