OUR NAVIGATORS

Our Navigators help hundreds of Pasifika families with health, finance, education and cultural goals.

We support families to support their children for success in education and in life. We start with peoples’ strengths and build on those to create a successful life for the whole family.

We support Pacific values of community, culture, language, spirituality, generosity and service. Our services are offered in the spirit of Pacific partnership.

What sets us apart is our holistic approach—we look at the whole picture, understanding that each family has unique needs. Everything we do is aimed at empowering Pacific families, ensuring they have the resources and support to build a better future together.

Our Navigator services are informed by several key Pacific frameworks:

  • Talanoa Methodology is at the heart of our engagement. Navigators create safe, non-judgmental spaces for genuine conversation, allowing whānau to be heard, understood and empowered. Talanoa is more than talk—it is healing, relational and transformative.

  • Tongan Engagement Framework guides how Navigators approach whānau with faka’apa’apa (respect), tauhi vā (nurturing sacred relationships), and anga fakatokilalo (humility). This framework ensures cultural safety and trust, especially when entering spaces of sacred family dynamics.

  • Fonofale Model supports a holistic, family-centred view of wellbeing. Navigators respond not just to visible needs but to the interconnected layers of cultural, mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing, including housing, education, faith and identity.

  • Tivaevae Framework highlights our collaborative and intergenerational approach. Like each patch sewn into a tivaevae, every whānau member contributes, and our Navigators ensure services are not delivered to but created with the community.

  • Teu le Vā is the golden thread of our practice. We honour the —the sacred space between people—by prioritising respectful, reciprocal and relational approaches to change.

Our culturally grounded Navigators are frontline responders. They are from the communities they serve, enabling deep trust and immediate responsiveness to issues such as housing, mental health, family violence and financial hardship.

Our Navigators

The Piri'anga Alofa Navigation Service empowers families to define their aspirations and build the skills and confidence needed to achieve their goals.

Our Navigators walk alongside families, helping them identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and connect with the right support services.

We work in partnership with each family, respecting their unique journey and tailoring our support to align with their goals. Whether it's setting aspirations, planning next steps, or accessing essential services, our Navigators are here to help families achieve outcomes that matter to them.

We are dedicated to empowering Pasifika families to thrive—educationally, economically, emotionally, and culturally. Our support helps families succeed in school, improve health and wellbeing, gain financial independence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

We honour Pacific heritage, culture, and values in everything we do. By celebrating identity and strengthening intergenerational bonds, we foster understanding and belonging.

From financial support and debt management through our Le Fale team, to help with qualifications, driver licences, and pathways to home ownership—our services are designed to meet real needs in modern urban life.

We believe every family defines success in their own way. That’s why we start with where families are, build on their strengths, and walk with them toward a better future—always in the spirit of Pacific partnership.
